The days around the hunt
A hunting camp is a wonderful place for three days and a long one for fourteen. These are the trips we arrange on either end of a safari — for a rest day, for the week afterwards, and for whoever is not carrying a rifle.
We are hunters, not a travel agency
Everything on this page is arranged through operators we have used for years — the lodge, the boat, the guide, the transfer. We book it, you deal with us, and nobody gets handed a list of phone numbers and left to it. Where we know something well we will say so, and where we are passing on what clients have told us, we will say that too.
Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls
One to three days
The one place every client should see, and the easiest thing in Africa to add to a hunt that is already happening in Zimbabwe.

Tiger Fishing on the Zambezi
A day, or two to three for the serious
Fourteen teeth per jaw, a strike that takes line off the reel before you have registered it, and a hook-up rate that will humble a good angler.
South Africa

Kruger National Park
Two to four days
Two million hectares of it, the Big Five in one park, and the one add-on a non-hunting partner will talk about for longer than you talk about the kudu.

Pilanesberg National Park
One to two days
Big Five game viewing inside an extinct volcano, close to Johannesburg, and malaria-free — which makes it the answer when there are children or a nervous traveller in the party.

The Panorama Route
A day, as part of a Kruger trip
The third largest canyon on earth and the greenest one, on the road you would be driving to Kruger anyway.

Cape Town and the Winelands
Three to seven days
The week that turns a hunting trip into a holiday, and the reason a reluctant partner agrees to the whole thing.
Planning more than the hunt?
Tell us at the enquiry stage rather than afterwards. Most of these change which flights make sense, and a few change which dates work at all.
